RABBIT

Sasangasana

 

The position of the rabbit produces exactly the opposite effect to that of the camel. By tensing the spine, it helps the nervous system to get the nourishment it needs - blood and oxygen. It also maintains the mobility and elasticity of the spine. It improves the flexibility of the shoulder blades and trapezius muscles, relieving tension in the cervical spine, shoulders and back.

The rabbit position improves digestion, helps treat colds and chronic tonsillitis. It affects the function of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.

Helps against insomnia, diabetes and depression.
