STANDING HEAD TO KNEE

Dandayamana - Janushirasana

Standing on one leg with the head at the knee improves concentration, patience and determination.

It strengthens the heart and blood vessels, and because the head is at the level of the heart in the posture, it also improves memory.

It strengthens the abdominal and thigh muscles, increases the flexibility of the nerves in the sitting area and strengthens the tendons.

In the upper body, it strengthens the deltoid and trapezius muscles, the oblique back muscles, the scapular muscles, the biceps and triceps.

The moment your forehead touches the knee, you stimulate the gallbladder, pancreas and spleen. In women, you also stimulate the uterus and ovaries.
