STANDING BOW PULLING POSE

Dandayamana - Dhanurasana

 

The standing bow position is the only position during which blood flows from one part of the body to another and back again. It improves blood circulation perfectly.

While squeezing one half of the body in the posture, the blood flow to the internal organs and glands located in that part is prevented. There is an increase in pressure

in the blood vessels, which accumulates around these organs, which can't get in because of the compression. At the moment of release from the position, fresh blood flows back into the organs, supplying them with the necessary nutrients and cleansing them.

It increases the capacity and elasticity of the lungs.

Strengthens the thigh muscles, arms, hips and buttocks. Increases the flexibility and strength of the lower spine.

Improves balance, patience and concentration.
