Lucie began practicing Bikram Yoga in 2006 when she and her best friend decided to "do something for themselves." This combination of physical exertion and "cutting off" from the outside world was something that totally impressed her because of the exacting and precise instructions. Lucie went from a professional dance career (with yoga as compensational therapy), to the podium as Bikram Yoga certified teacher in 2011 :-) Lucie loves warmth, loves working on herself, and overcoming challenges and limits. She enjoys watching this within herself, but finds it even more fulfilling to see the same shifts and successes with students. This “physical” yoga has the magic that even though it is “always the same,” it is always a bit different and it is through this specific exercise that it has the opportunity to grow and above all to help others grow, improve mentally, physically; and even pedagogically. By passing on her own experience she continues to see that she grows not only herself, but that it also works for others :-)
Favorite and Least Favorite Postures
I perceive the intensity of exercise very individually, according to my own needs and current disposition ;-). The postures are great, and perfectly connected in the series as it exists. But I can't always say that I love all 26 postures in the same way :-). The Triangle is awesome and my lifelong challenge is the Standing Bow, it’s beautiful and demanding at the same time.
"Try for yourself and see what you love here :-)"
